SHRED TO THE MAX — Desert Conservation Program

The Desert Conservation Program is a local government entity created to protect the desert and its inhabitants. With a new campaign to promote the right way to enjoy off-road activities, we wanted Mojave Max (a beloved mascot) not to stop people from having fun (because if the government says “Stop,” people are more likely to continue. The tortoise was shot on blue screen, but to get him to nod and shake his head was a challenge. In the end, some creative editing was required to get the movements down. The off-roading footage was cut to hard-driving stock music and graded to be a bit more extreme than reality.
